Thursday Fellowship

Specially geared to meet the needs of an older generation, the Thursday Fellowship provides a mid-week opportunity to meet together for friendship, worship and teaching. It is a devotional meeting, using the Sankey & Moody songbook, and with a variety of guest speakers, and occasional outings.

The faith of an older generation has created today's heritage - a legacy handed on with love and received with gratitude. These are some of our most loyal members, and many of them have been a faithful part of this church for several decades.

Worship in Residential Homes

We regularly visit two local residential homes, Copper Beeches and Furzehatt House, to lead an act of worship for the residents who are not able to visit the church.

Good Companions

Held on the first Wednesday of each month except January in our Norley Hall at Plymstock United Church, this is a day with friends, food and entertainment, for people who are alone or who have difficulty getting out and about. Transport is provided to and from the Day Centre, which begins around 10.00 am and continues to 3.00 pm.

The day normally includes: morning coffee, a raffle, luncheon, devotions led by a Minister, entertainment and afternoon cup of tea. This is a joint event organised by the churches in the Plymstock area. The cost is £3 per person.

Good News Holiday Club

A free "holiday at home" for senior citizens as we go on an imaginary tour.  We have cruised to Australia, travelled on the Orient Express, or taken a coach tour around the British Isles, and enjoyed local cuisine, new friendships, songs and activities ...all without needing a passport!
